Confidence in Action: Haile College Students Put Their Interview Skills to the Test

Student Miranda Sprecker interviews with Anthony Gigliotto with Western & Southern

That’s why, this fall, our college was filled with the energy of 145 students dressed for success, shaking hands, and sitting down for practice interviews with more than 60 business professionals from across the region. These interviews were real-world experiences designed to help students grow in confidence, sharpen their communication skills, and take the next step toward the careers they’ve been working for.

Confidence Matters

We hear from our industry connections that they are looking for people with the skill to do the job and also the confidence in soft skills, how to prepare for an interview, create a resume, and present themselves well.

At Haile College, all our students are required to take Business 301 (BUS 301). It's a class designed to help your student learn every thing they need to succeed in the workplace. They'll learn the ins and outs of the job search, including cover letters, resumes, understanding their values, and of course interview preparation. That's the skill above all others that set a job seeker apart.

Practice Makes Perfect

Haile College students have ample opportunity to practice their interview skills to prepare for the real thing. All Haile College students are required to participate in a mock interview through BUS 301. Through NKU's Career Services, your student can book mock interviews with staff at any time to prepare for upcoming interviews or to practice if they want that extra polish. And now, through the power of AI your student has access to service called Big Interview, where your student can get real time feedback any time they want!
