NKU SHRM is a student chapter that is affiliated with the Society for Human Resources Management, a national association for emerging and seasoned Human Resources professionals. Our chapter provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the effective management of human capital in the field of Human Resource Management through affiliation with the Haile College of Business and the SHRM organization by:
 

  • Promoting the exchange of work-related experience of established business professionals with the theoretical academic perspectives of students and faculty members through open forums and information exchanges
  • Encouraging the acquisition, growth and continuation of our respective careers in human resource management
  • Functioning as an important vehicle for promoting the field of human resource management

The chapter is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in Human Resources, Workforce Development, or Organizational Development.

Being a chapter member is free. However, if you are interested in a leadership role, such as secretary, you must be a member of national SHRM. The current student membership fee for national SHRM is $49/year.
