NKU Haile Women in Business

NKU Haile Women in Business is a professional, female focused student organization in the Haile College of Business. We are dedicated to promoting the success of women interested in business professions by creating and cultivating a strong network of women to encourage interpersonal growth, career development and future opportunities within the business committee.

In an effort to reduce diversity and divide in business by leveling the playing field, NKU created a Women In Business Organization in 2020. The overall goal of the organization is to increase women's presence and opportunities for mentorship, training, networking and leadership within the business word.

Operating from the mission of, “In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.” Sheryl Sandberg – the club emphasizes that all working women are women in the business field and this crosses all industries and sectors.

Members and Attendees will experience actionable take-aways from the club’s successes and hardships including how to empower women to believe they deserve a “seat at the table.”

The club focuses on personal development as well as bridging the gap between student and professionals. Specific tactics will be shared that help reach women at their student level, in order to provide growth opportunities to match their professional potential.

The club has welcomed over 100 members and has offered over 30 professional development and  networking opportunities including member meetings, conferences, roundtables, and hosted more than 40 guest speakers across multiple areas of business crossing HR, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Grocery Retail, Design, and Entrepreneurship. In just a short time, over 300 Students have participated in various events and had the opportunity to meet and network with over 1500 area business professionals. The club is honored to partner with CareCloset and collect donations at events in order to give back and provide business clothing resources to NKU students and the local community.

Our organization fosters tight-knit friendships that will last a lifetime. In addition to student members, we encourage alumni to join and remain active in our organization. We host meetings, events, and offer mentorship opportunities during the academic year. Our community of women garners a sense of trust that allows for not only professional growth, but personal growth as well.

Our organization is open to all students, all majors, and all genders who are in support of women in the workplace.
