The Visual Arts Program normally offers a shadow experience for prospective students interested in studying in one of our many Visual Arts or Design Degrees. During this time of hybrid learning and social distancing, we are offering Virtual Meet-Ups through Zoom with current students and instructors. Virtual Meet-Ups usually take at least one week to arrange and can take place Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-9 p.m. These experiences are set up on an individual basis according to each prospective student’s degree interests and career goals. A Virtual Meet-Up may include a video tour of studio spaces on campus, discussing hybrid learning in the visual arts, viewing online learning tools, and talking about educational experiences at NKU before and during the pandemic. We hope to return to the traditional in-person Shadow Program as soon as students, faculty, and administrators feel it is safe to do so.
