Brando Triantafillou

Brando Triantafillou
Part-time instructor in Commercial Music Production and Composition

Bio

Brando received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami in 1990. In 1991, he moved to Chicago to work as an assistant audio engineer at Editel - a film/video/audio post-production facility, focusing on the advertising community. In 1996, Brando and two business partners opened The Rhythm Cafe, an original music and sound design company with a focus on broadcast advertising. While a partner at the Rhythm Cafe, Brando composed and produced countless original scores for many different national and international brands. Additionally, he has engineered voice over sessions, created sound design beds and mixed hundreds of commercials for broadcast, radio, web as well as theatrical delivery. In 2006, Brando left The Rhythm Cafe and opened Soundcake - continuing to service the advertising community along with film scoring, documentary audio-post production, live theatre music/sound production as well as working on independent artists’ record projects
