Tuition & Fees for the 2023-2024 Academic Year

Cost of attendance at NKU will vary depending on your program of interest. Select your intended program below in order to get the most accurate tuition and fees amount you must show before an I-20 can be issued.

Northern Kentucky University is required by law to review each international student's financial documents before an I-20 can be issued for the purpose of attaining an F-1 student visa. An international applicant will need to show proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition, fees, room, meal plan, and health insurance.

If dependents (son, daughter, or spouse) will accompany you while you are studying at NKU, you will need an additional $6,000 USD for your spouse and/or $3,000 USD for each child that you plan to bring with you. You will need to submit the Dependent Request Form along with the Financial Certification Form.

Please note that the tuition and fees do not include personal expenses (i.e. transportation, clothing, entertainment, etc.). ISSS strongly recommends that you also account for an additional $2,000 - $3,000 per academic year, depending on your lifestyle.

Northern Kentucky University reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice, upon approval by the Board of Regents. To learn more about tuition terms and conditions, payments and associated fees, please visit Student Account Services.
