GILLINGHAM AWARDED EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING

NKU honored faculty and staff at its annual Academic Affairs Faculty and Staff Awards on April 18. Amy Gillingham of the Music Program was awarded the Excellence in Teaching and Instruction Award.

Senior Dance BFA, Natalie Bellamy never dreamed she would be given the opportunity to study one-on-one with the innumerable teachers and artists at Jacob's Pillow.

Eric Snyder

MUSIC TECH GRAD BEGINS MASTER'S AT BELMONT

Eric Snyder graduated from NKU in 2017 as the first student to graduate from the new SOTA music technology program. He recently moved to Nashville, TN to begin work on a master’s degree in commercial music performance at Belmont University.

Megan Doebrich (Visual Arts BFA, 2017) recently won first place at the the Summerfair Cincinnati Emerging Artists Exhibition.

ART GALLERIES

The NKU SOTA Art Gallery is a premiere venue for the exhibition of high quality art works from regional, national, and international artists. The gallery serves as an exhibition forum for the community and region to view the work of traditionally under represented groups and individuals who have contributed to the richness and diversity of our region.

The NKU SOTA Theatre + Dance Program showcases a variety of performance and production experiences. Ranging from musicals and dance to comedy and drama, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Simply, everything is going on at the school of the arts.

Whether we are producing a material or utilizing our dance classes to collaborate with theraputic exercise in health sciences, we are on the cutting edge of transdisciplinary studies. Yes, we're hosting concerts, but we're also preparing students to produce better rock n' roll shows. We can teach you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, which could lead to dozens of careers. Here, you will dance, you will sing, and most of all, you will achieve.
