A generalist Social Work curriculum is based on the values and ethics of the social work profession. Critical components of professional social work practice include a commitment to social and economic justice, valuing the importance of human relationships, and honoring the dignity and worth of human beings.
In the Bachelor of Social Work Program, students study human behavior, research, social work practice, and social welfare policy. An emphasis is placed on utilizing critical thinking skills in work with individuals, families, groups, and communities.
The NKU Social Work programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
