Jar
This is a black on black painted lizard effigy jar from Chihuahua, Mexico. The two lizard details are raised from the surface of the jar and have indentations to resemble the scales of the lizards. All four of the limbs, the head and tail of the lizards are visible and their tails extend from their bodies to curve around toward each other. Surrounding the lizards are geometric designs in both shiny and matte black. The base of the jar is rounded.
