Janet Harrah, M.S.
Janet Harrah was appointed Senior Director of the Center for Economic Analysis and Development at Northern Kentucky University in August 2008. She brings more than 20 years of applied research experience to the position. Prior to Janet's appointment as senior director, she held the position of director of the Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State University. In this role, Harrah's research focus was on the wide-ranging factors affecting regional economic growth and change. The breadth of those efforts ran the gamut from estimating the fiscal impacts of changes in the tax code to facilitating a community-wide discussion on the direction of the region's future economic development agenda. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master's degree in economics from Wichita State University. Harrah resides in Fort Thomas, KY with her husband and two children.
