Dr. Edward Kwon is a professor of the Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership. He received his Ph.D. at the Department of Political Science of University of Hawaii at Manoa. His research interests include financial liberalization and global governance in the international financial system, international security, East Asian security, international relations of East Asia, and non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Dr. Kwon has published more than 20 articles in various academic journals. His articles have appeared in journals such as Journal of Contemporary Asia, International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, East Asia: An International Quarterly, Pacific Focus, Journal of Peace Research, and Asian Affairs: An American Review. He is working as a member of editorial board and reviewer for several publishers and various international relations and area studies journals.

He has taught various courses in comparative politics, East Asian politics, international relations, foreign policy, international political economy, and research methods. He served as an advisor of the Model United Nations Club and has participated in various national and regional Model UN conferences.
