Jason Farkas is an instructor in Organizational Leadership, joining the department in 2017. Prior to uniting with the Organizational Leadership faculty at NKU, Jason served as an adjunct instructor of Leadership Studies at Wright State University in Dayton, OH, teaching multiple courses such as Leading Change, Leading Others, and Self as Leader. Jason has also served in management with a large national musical instrument retailer for a decade, leading multiple locations in Ohio, Michigan, and Colorado.

Jason received a Master of Science in Leadership Development at Wright State University, earning a Graduate School Excellence Award and the Graduate Council Scholars Fellowship, while also serving as a research assistant on projects investigating personal values, service improvement for military veterans, peace leadership, and the demonstration and value of leadership behaviors in the workplace. Jason also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wright State University, where foundational courses in I/O psychology, advanced research methods, and workplace personality expression solidified his interest in leadership studies. His other academic interests include ethics, cultural values, and organizational appreciative inquiry. Jason is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Studies and Leadership degree and certifications in Instructional Design for Digital Learning and Program Evaluation at Wright State University. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi national honors society.

Outside of the classroom, Jason has a wide variety of interests. He enjoys travel, modern art, live music, and adding vinyl records to his extensive collection, but his favorite part of the day is always the time he is able to spend face to face with students.
