A native of Savoyard, KY in Metcalfe County, Carlous possesses a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in College Student Personnel and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Louisville. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Educational Leadership at Western Kentucky University. Carlous has over 15 years of professional hands-on experience in student services and student development.  As a professional, he mentors, motivate, and encourage students to succeed.

In his free time, Carlous enjoys the beach, aquariums, traveling, grilling, reality TV shows, and nature.
