A great college experience depends on many factors; one is becoming involved in campus groups and clubs. The Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice and Organizational Leadership sponsors local chapters of national student organizations that are affiliated with different programs of study.
Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence by undergrduates as well as graduate students in criminal justice. To become a member, the student must be a criminal justice major, or minor, who has complete one-third of the total hours required (40 hours for graduation and maintain a minimum 3.2 overall GPA.

Lambda Alpha Epsilon, established in 1937, is a national organization for students and professionals to promote high standards of ethical conduct, professional training, and higher education within the criminal justice profession. Membership is open to all students having declared a criminal justice major or minor.
Students have the opportunity to train and compete in regional and national competitions such as crime scene, firearms, physical agility and academic competitions.

Xi Omega is the local chapter of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. It is open to political science or international studies majors and minors who meet the following requirements:
Phi Alpha Delta is an international law fraternity that offers a special program to serve pre-law students. PAD offers students advice on attending law school, exposes them to current topics of debate and critical issues in the field of law.
