Sinclair2NKU is a partnership between Sinclair Community College and Northern Kentucky University. This site is provided for transfer assistance for students working toward the completion of an associate degree planning to transfer from Sinclair to Northern Kentucky University.  The information provided on this website does not take the place of an advisor or counselor on your campus.

Pathways to Degree Completion

The pathway guides are advising tools designed to help community college students plan for transferring to NKU to complete their baccalaureate degree. The pathway guides also constitute an agreement between community colleges and universities confirming that community college courses meet major preparation requirements.

Requirements

In order to participate, students should work closely with their Sinclair academic advisor to pick a pathway and ensure that they're taking the appropriate classes toward both their associate degree at Sinclair and their bachelor's degree at NKU.

Note: Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and meet NKU's standards and deadlines to be considered for admission. 

Ready to transfer?

When the time comes for you to transfer to NKU from Sinclair, there are a few steps that need to be completed. Please use this checklist to ensure all steps are completed in order to facilitate a smooth transfer.

  • Complete the online application to NKU.
  • Pay the non-refundable $40 application fee after submitting your application. 
  • Submit official college transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities attended. You can submit electronically to beanorse@nku.edu or via mail to:

  • Make sure NKU is on your FAFSA if you receive Financial Aid. The NKU school code is 009275. Do this as early as possible!

Once admitted, the following items should be taken care of, if applicable:

* Confirmation and orientation fees are waived for students enrolled in Accelerated Online programs. Confirmation and orientation fees can be waived for cases of financial hardship. Please contact NKU to inquire.
