We provide the number students applying to give a sense of the overall enrollment pipeline, but the Yield Rate is calculated using just the admitted students and the students who actually enroll at NKU.

Total Cost of Attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees for in-state students, including books, supplies, and the weighted average for room and board. Average Net Price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state/local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance (COA). Unmet Need is the expected out of pocket expenses after financial aid, loans, and family contributions are subtracted from the total Cost of Attendance.

Time to degree is looking at the average number of credit hours a student earned when they completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree. The typical bachelor’s degree requires 120 credit hours and the typical master’s degree requires 30-40 hours, although some require more.

Enhance the culture of service-orientation that respects the realities of our students’ lives and provides consistent, responsive care, and support across all areas with special emphasis on wellness, advising, financial aid, and career preparation.
