19.1.2 /etc/bootparams
Diskless clients depend on the server to inform them of their root and swap partitions. The server keeps this information in the /etc/bootparams file, e.g.:
ivy root=tardis:/export/root/ivy \
swap=tardis:/export/swap/ivy
