Mom's Applesauce
You'll need:
- 2 qt pan,
- a pile of transparent apples,
- 3/4 cups sugar, and
- a bit o' cinnamon
- Peel and core the apples until the 2 qt pan is full.
- Add about an inch of water to the bottom of the pan.
- Heat the mix on high until the apples foam up - don't let them run
over, or you'll have a huge mess on your hands (Dad's 2 cents worth there).
- Once they're boiling, turn down to medium.
- Stir frequently until the apples are just about mush, then turn off the
heat.
- Let the sauce sit covered, stirring occasionally until it IS mush.
- Add the sugar (more or less to taste), sprinkle in some cinnamon, and
refridgerate.
- Once it's cool, eat it silly!
