The Department of Mathematics will hold a Major/Minors Lunch from 11:30am-1:30pm on Friday, November 30. All mathematics majors and minors are welcome (or even those thinking about it). This is a great opportunity to get together with other students and faculty on a very informal basis, and learn more about what math can do for you, and you for math.
The 6th Annual Nobel Prize Symposium will be held [today], NOV 27, from 3-4 in the Welcome Center (Steely Library). This is always a great event with faculty from the sciences, economics and literature presenting brief accounts of this year's prize winners. Please plan to attend.
