Temperature Probe:

Description of the experiment: We're going to
have a warm-handed person grab the probe, and we'll watch as the probe warms to
their body temperature over the course of a minute. Before you start,
predict what your graph of temperature versus time will look like.
Explicit instructions

		- The temperature probe should be at an ambient temperature
			to start.

- Plug in your temperature probe (Channel 1 - CH 1 - is
fine), and don't warm it up by touching it, etc.!

- You will run the datamate program:

Type datamate() at the command line.

- The calculator may "detect sensors", then come back with a
menu. The experiment is as follows:

			- Decide who has the warmest hands.

- Use Setup

- Use the arrow keys to move down to "mode" line,
				and hit enter.

- Select Time Graph

- Change the time settings to be spaced at 1 second,
and collect data for a minute.

- "OK" back to the main screen.

- You should be ready to go:

				- Warm handed person grab the probe,

- Hit 2 to start, and

- Hold on!

- Explain:

			- Was the result similar to the predicted function?

- What kind of model (from our zoo of functions)
				would be appropriate? Why?

- Can we use mathematics to quickly predict body
temperature after only a few seconds of data?
