Welcome to Teuta Çata's website.
Dr. Teuta Cata joined the Business Informatics faculty at Northern Kentucky University in August 2003. Prior to this, she worked for the Government of Albania in the Economic State Department, Health State Department, and was the Director of Business Development Center in Tirana, Albania.
In 1990, she received her Bachelor's Degree in
Management from the University of Tirana (Albania) and her MBA through a
joint program between the University of Tirana and the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln.
She received her Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln.
Her dissertation is focused on the application of electronic commerce in the
financial industry (insurance)
and her research interests are in the areas of
electronic commerce, global IT, outsourcing, and enterprise resource planning.
She has been published in journals such as: Journal of Software
Maintenance and Evolution: Research and Practice; International Journal of
e-Business Research, and Journal of Internet Commerce.
Her teaching interests are in the areas of management information systems
(undergraduate and graduate level), electronic commerce, and global IT.
