November 14, 2018– Northern Kentucky University’s Janet Harrah has received the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s NKY Community Award. She received the award at the Chamber’s Eggs ‘N Issues program on November 13.

The NKY Community Award is sponsored by meetNKY and is awarded to exceptional individuals, businesses or organizations that have helped to advance or promote the region. Nominations are open to the community, and awards are presented throughout the year.

“Janet Harrah plays a key leadership role in our region by helping us interpret data which is critical to our success in the global knowledge-based economy,” said Gene Kirchner, senior vice president, and COO at the NKY Chamber. “Her insight is an invaluable asset to economic development in Northern Kentucky.”

Harrah is the senior director of the Center for Economic Development and Business Research at NKU’s Haile/US Bank College of Business. For nearly a decade, Harrah has shared her expertise with the NKY Chamber community at the annual Regional Economic Outlook presentation.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by the NKY Chamber for the impact we continue to make in the community,” said Harrah. “I’m thrilled to continue further northern Kentucky’s economic well-being.”
