August 13, 2018 – Northern Kentucky University celebrates the beginning of a new academic year with the Fall Convocation for faculty and staff on Monday, August 13 at 1 p.m.
President Ashish Vaidya will welcome the NKU community back to campus and celebrate the university’s successes over the past year. The address will look ahead to new opportunities and recap our past accomplishments.
President Vaidya will also introduce new colleagues and confer the Frank Sinton Milburn Outstanding Professor award upon David Singleton from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. In addition to being a law professor at Chase, Singleton is the executive director of the Ohio Justice and Policy Center. Ken Jones and Dr. Jonathan Reynolds will be honored as the recipients of the university’s Regents Professorship award. Jones is the former director of the NKU School of the Arts. Dr. Reynolds is professor in the History and Geography Department.
