August 17, 2017- Northern Kentucky University celebrates the beginning of a new academic year with the Fall Convocation address on Friday, August 18.
Interim President Gerard St. Amand will welcome the NKU community back to campus and celebrate the university’s successes over the past year. The address will look ahead to new challenges and recap our past accomplishments.
St. Amand will also introduce new colleagues and confer the Frank Sinton Milburn Outstanding Professor award upon Dr. Holly Riffe, Professor of Social Work in the College of Education and Human Services. Dr. Cecile Marczinski will be honored as the university’s 13th Regents Professor. Dr. Marczinski is a Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
The Convocation address begins at 9 a.m. in the James C. and Rachel M. Votruba Student Union Ballroom. The address will also be broadcast live online at president.nku.edu/streaming.html.
