As we continue to develop the Northern Kentucky University budget for next academic year, President Mearns will be hosting two Budget Open Forums in the coming weeks to give the campus community an opportunity to learn more about our financial condition and to participate in the budget process.
The first Open Forum will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 1:30-3 p.m., in the Student Union Ballroom A. The second will be on Thursday, March 17, from 10-11:30 a.m., also in the Student Union Ballroom A. Each session will feature similar details, but the March 17 session may have more current information from developments in the General Assembly.
These forums are a follow-up to presentations that were made to various stakeholder groups in February, including the chairs, the deans, Staff Congress, the Faculty Senate budget committee, and Faculty Senate. These forums are open to the campus community, and will include up-to-date information about the University’s current budget, projected financial conditions, and details about Governor Bevin’s proposed budget. The forums will also include breakout sessions for discussion.
