University Police and local first responders will conduct an emergency safety drill this week at Campbell Hall on the north side of campus.
Two sessions will be held: one at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29 , and a second session at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Each will last approximately three hours, and Campbell Hall will be inaccessible during these times. No road closures are anticipated.
If you are in the vicinity of campus, you may notice an increased law enforcement presence during these times. The event is not expected to disrupt campus operations, as the University is closed Dec. 21-Jan. 1. The event is not expected to affect the Dec. 30 Norse women’s basketball game.
The drill is part of NKUPD’s ongoing commitment to conducting and providing training in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.
