Northern Kentucky University will host a special Open Registration session on Friday, Aug. 14, from noon to 4 p.m., for prospective students interested in attending NKU this fall who still need to complete the admissions and registration process before classes begin on Aug. 17.
Check-in for Open Registration will be located in the lobby of the Lucas Administrative Center. Students will have the opportunity to meet with admissions professionals, address any transfer issues, consult academic advisors, discuss university housing, register for classes, complete financial aid documents, and acquire an NKU student ID.
Prospective students who do not meet the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education benchmarks for standardized test scores are required to take placement tests. Those benchmarks are: ACT English score less than 18; ACT math score less than 19; ACT reading score less than 20; SAT English score less than 430 (writing); SAT math score less than 460; SAT reading score less than 470 (critical reading).
If you believe that you need to take a placement test, you are strongly encouraged to arrive at 9 a.m., so that you will have enough time to meet with an advisor and register for classes on this day.
