TRAFFIC ALERT: 9th Region, Atlantic Sun tournaments

It will be a busy week for basketball here at Northern Kentucky University. The Bank of Kentucky Center will host the 9th Region boys and girls basketball tournaments this week and the NKU men’s and women’s basketball teams are both hosting first-round games in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in Regents Hall. As a result, there will be increased traffic on campus and a few parking restrictions in place this week.

All 9th Region tournament games will be played in The Bank of Kentucky Center. The full schedule is below. All 9th region tickets are general admission, and everyone over age 6 needs a ticket for entry. Parking for the 9th Region Tournaments will be $4 at the lot, cash only. More information on the 9th Region tournaments is available at

  • Monday, March 2: Girls quarterfinals, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 3: Girls quarterfinals, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 4: Boys quarterfinals, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, March 6: Boys quarterfinals, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 7: Girls semifinals, beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 8: Boys semifinals, beginning at noon; Girls championship, beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Monday, March 9: Boys championship, beginning at 7 p.m.

The NKU men’s basketball team hosts Lipscomb on Tuesday, March 3, at 7 p.m., in Regents Hall. The following restrictions will be in place for that game:

  • Lots T & V will be shut down at 3 p.m. and designated basketball parking only.
  • Anyone with an NKU parking pass can park in any lot like normal where his or her pass is valid.
  • Any fans/spectators without an NKU parking pass will also be allowed into Lot V or T at the $4 parking rate.
  • Gold-level donors with reserved signs A, B, C, and D will park in Lot N.
  • Media, game officials, visiting team administrators, Atlantic Sun personnel, and table workers will park in Lot N.
  • BOK Lot O pass holders will have a pass to allow them to park in Lot V or T with free parking.
  • Traffic at the main circle may be moderate to heavy from 6-7 p.m.

The NKU women’s basketball team hosts USC Upstate on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in Regents Hall.
