HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. –
The Freshman Service Leadership Committee will sponsor the annual Service on Saturday in partnership with the City of Highland Heights on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at three locations across the city.

The event is designed to benefit the Pantry of Hope, which is located in the First Baptist Church in Highland Heights. The pantry serves over 400 needy families within our region.

The service activities will include two car wash locations – one at the Highland Heights City Building (176 Johns Hill Road) and the other at Bowling Chiropractic (2515 Alexandria Pike). Car washes will be available for cash donations or nonperishable food items. The city will provide all materials needed.

The day of service will also include a food and clothing drive at the E-Jay’s Plaza on U.S. 27 across from Johns Hill Road. Nonperishable food items and gently used clothing for men, women, and children will be accepted. Students will meet in the Student Union and then carpool to the service locations. Check-in time for University 101 classes will be 9:30 a.m.; check-in time for student organizations will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Students interested in volunteering for Service on Saturday should register at https://orgsync.com/21626/forms/33507. Those who register by Sept. 17 will receive a free T-shirt. For an application or more information, contact Alex Collins at collinsa3@mymail.nku.edu.
