HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University Executive Leadership and Organizational Change program will host the 2014 ELOC Leadership Conference: Developing the Leadership Capacity of the Region, on Friday, April 11, at the NKU METS Center and is expected to draw more than 300 participants.

This will be the first time that the program has offered a conference that will feature leaders in business and education as speakers. Dr. Richard Boyatzis, the keynote presenter, is an internationally renowned expert on leadership and emotional intelligence. He has written numerous articles and books on what it takes to become an outstanding leader. Dr. Boyatzis is a professor in the departments of organizational behavior, psychology, and cognitive science at Case Western University in Cleveland and in human resources at ESADE in Barcelona.

The keynote will be followed by three important and stimulating concurrent sessions by leaders from Fifth Third Bank, Leadership Excelleration, Inc., The Kroger Co., and dunnhumbyUSA on topics such as the application of emotional intelligence, ascending to leadership, and the leadership of innovation. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to meet other local leaders and further explore the concept of leadership.

The ELOC program (M.S. in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change) is dedicated to creating transformative leaders in the region who will help develop and grow local organizations. The master’s program was established in 2006 to prepare professionals and managers to meet contemporary challenges in organizations by helping them develop their leadership competencies and organizational change skills.
