One thing you can count on: The federal budget is never far removed from the headlines.

This week, for example, The New York Times alerted its readers with breaking news, “Boehner Will Bring ‘Clean’ Debt-Ceiling Increase to House Vote.” By the next news cycle, the headline might change, but the news value of the federal budget is a constant.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 2-3 p.m. in Student Union Room 106, NKU economics professor Dr. Gary Clayton will facilitate a Democracy Square Live dialogue on the federal budget. All NKU students are welcome to attend.

Democracy Square Live dialogues are part of NKU’s Newspaper Readership Program, a partnership with The New York Times, USA Today and the Associated Press to offer access to state, national and international news. The dialogues are free and open to all NKU students. They are an opportunity to add your voice to the conversation on campus about public affairs.

Light snacks will be available for all participants.
