Ballot Bomb to discuss issues important to NKU students

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - In the 2012 presidential election, young voters proved decisive in states such as Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Starting in 2008, half of all eligible voters from 18 to 29 took to the polls – a dramatic increase from the less than 40 percent that usually vote. High turnout among young voters seems to be the new trend.

America's youth are ready to be heard...and Kentucky is eager to listen. Ballot Bomb, an event that focuses on both election and public politics, is taking place at both Northern Kentucky University as well as the University of Kentucky. NKU students are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts on what issues matter when going to the polls.

The event will be hosted at Norse Commons on Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Students will receive free pizza and an open ear. RSVP at
