HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University Institute for Talent Development and Gifted Studies will again offer its popular one-week summer ExploreMore Programs this June.
ExploreMore is a popular enrichment program designed to meet the needs of academically, creatively and artistically gifted students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The program offers an ever-changing variety of courses in science, mathematics, visual and performing arts, and original interdisciplinary studies.
Students choose their own classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Class sizes are limited to provide an optimum teaching/learning environment.
Taught by qualified teachers, classes focus on a central theme and are designed to allow students to explore their natural curiosities. Classes this summer include: CreARTivity through Literature, Experimenting with the Scientific Method, Ooey Gooey Slimy Science, Chocolate Economics, Lego Story Builders, Mandalas and Zentagles, Multiplication Station, Thinking!, Sharkology and more.
The ExploreMore program’s summer 2013 courses will be held in two one-week sessions at NKU’s Highland Heights campus (June 10-14 and/or June 17-21). There will also be a four-day session at the NKU Grant County Center June 3-6. Students may register online at http://gifted.nku.edu or by calling (859) 572-6685.
