HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky Forum will host an interactive panel discussion on Wednesday, April 24, from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Northern Kentucky Area Development District in Florence (22 Spiral Drive).
“Hiring Again? The Business Case for Supported Employment Services” will provide an opportunity for the public to hear about why some local companies are making the business decision to specifically seek out employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.
“We are pleased to host a conversation in a nonjudgmental, open public forum in which the impact specifically for businesses and employees can be discussed,” said Northern Kentucky Forum Board Chair Tara Ford. “We are excited to have employers such as DHL Express, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Home Goods and local non-profits including Redwood, BAWAC and New Perceptions sharing their experience and insights on use of supported employment services with the audience.”
The forum will be a conversation moderated by Angie Taylor, vice president of workforce solutions with Gateway Community and Technical College. Confirmed panelists include:
As with all Forum events, there will be opportunities for audience members to share their opinions and ask questions of the panelists. In advance of the event, Northern Kentuckians are invited to take an online poll at http://nkyforum.org (click the poll link). It is quick and easy, and adds your voice to the dialogue.
