HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University will host the second in a series of candidate forums on October 24 to allow those running for office to share their vision and platform.
This forum will feature five additional northern Kentucky general assembly and congressional candidates. On October 1, candidates Chris McDaniel, Damon Thayer, Thomas Massie, James Noll and Diane St. Onge presented to the Highland Heights campus.
The second forum will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5:30-8 p.m. in the James C. and Rachel M. Votruba Student Union Ballroom. This second round of speakers will feature:
Each participating candidate will have a half-hour slot to present and answer questions. The first 15 minutes will focus on the candidate’s platform and what each will do to support NKU students, education and their platform generally. This will be followed by a 15-minute question/answer session.
All candidates from the northern Kentucky region participating in contested elections were invited to present. The candidates were assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. One person from each of these races will represent NKU, and the northern Kentucky region in Frankfort or Washington, D.C.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Foundation Advocates for NKU as well as NKU’s Alumni Association, Student Government Association and Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement.
