About This Micro-Credential

Understanding personal finances and the economics behind them allows people to make responsible decisions and maintain control over key components of their lives. This micro-credential will give students the content and methods required to teach economics and personal finance to diverse groups ranging from students (K-12) to employees to community members.

  • Exhibit knowledge of basic economic and personal finance concepts appropriate to K-12 educators and community stakeholders.
  • Implement innovative instructional materials and methodologies for economic reasoning and personal finance in diverse classroom settings.
  • Understand learning and cognitive strategies for community stakeholders working with economics and financial literacy.
