After complaining to his parents about his on-going symptoms, Hayden’s parents decided he should go to the doctor in case he was getting sick. His mom told him they needed to go anyway so that they could get his physical done before he started the new school. Right after she told him this, Hayden’s heart rate increased and he started to feel nauseous again. His illness must really be getting worse, he thought to himself. On Monday morning, Hayden went to the doctor with his Dad. The doctor took all of his measurements as usual, gave him a few vaccines he needed before school started, and asked him some questions during the examination. All of this information can be seen in his Doctor’s Notes.
In the Doctor’s Notes, they suggest that Hayden may want to see a specialist. The doctor writes down 2 different suggestions-- a therapist or a GI (gastrointestinal) doctor. A therapist focuses on addressing concerns related to mental health. They would be able to assess Hayden’s mental health and determine if he has any mental health related illnesses. A GI doctor would look further into the issue of the nausea and inability to eat that Hayden has been experiencing. They could run more tests related to digestion to determine any issues with digestion that could be causing Hayden’s symptoms.
