Reserve The Health Innovation Center For Your Next Event

The Institute for Health Innovation makes many of the spaces in the Health Innovation Center available for internal and external events. From informal receptions to conferences, consider using the HIC for your next event.

 

Dedicated Study Areas

These spaces are dedicated areas within the Health Innovation Center conducive to individual or group study.

Internal Events

Faculty and staff can reserve space in the HIC for internal (official NKU sponsored) event on campus. Use the link below for more information on how to reserve space in the Health Innovation Center. Please review the Proper Care and Use of Facilities Policy before all events.

Need IT services for your event?

Speakers, rolling monitors, microphones and more equipment is available to NKU Faculty/Staff and to student/student organizations with the consent of a Faculty/Staff representative. The Faculty/Staff representative assumes all responsibility for the equipment supplied. 

External Events

Any external (non-officially NKU sponsored) event that is coming to campus must work through Conference Management and have a contract. Contact Leah Koch at kochl3@nku.edu for more information on Conference Management services.

The Forum

Capacity: 325 seated

A gathering space for students and events, The Forum is a great venue for standing receptions. Additional photos coming. The space includes cushions on the stadium seating and seating on the carpet as well. The Forum is also host to Au Bon Pain on the Mezzanine level and includes some bistro seating as well.

 


Mezzanine Outdoor Patio

Capacity: 200 standing reception

The Mezzanine Patio can be used for informal outdoor events with limited picnic table seating or in tandem with The Forum for space to flow outside and in.


HE 102/104 Learning Studios

HE 102 and 104
Capacity: 60 in each room, 120 combined space

HE 102/104 are classrooms on the first floor with extensive technology and banquet style seating. The rooms may be reserved separately or combined. 

 


The Atrium

Capacity: 40

The Atrium is located on the first floor near the Movement Lab and Forum with permanent, sculptural seating. Excellent venue for informal receptions.

 


The Co-Lab

Health Innovation Center HE 221

Capacity: 49, standard set-up is conference room for 16 people

The Eva G. and Oakley B. Farris Collaboration Room, also referred to as the Co-Lab, is designed for working together across campus and the community. Reserve in the standard conference shape for up to 16 seated or a banquet style for up to 32.


Mainstreet

Capacity: 150 standing reception

Mainstreet can be reserved on the weekends and after 5 pm during the week for event and reception space. The space may also be used in tandem with the Co-Lab to create a larger space. 


Rooftop Patio

The Eva G. and Oakley B. Farris Rooftop Patio is a relaxed environment with built-in patio furniture and picnic tables. Pair with the Rooftop Hallway for additional room and space for catering.


Rooftop Hallway

Interior hallway adjacent to the rooftop patio.

HE 503
Capacity: 40

The Rooftop Hallway is an interior space adjacent to the Rooftop Patio used primarily for catering in tandem with events on the Rooftop Patio.
