Subject: COVID-19 Update- Vaccines Are Available

Dear Campus Community,

NKU Health, Counseling and Student Wellness has plenty of COVID-19 vaccination doses available for those age 16 and older. Any faculty, staff, students or family members can make an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine, and there are no longer residency requirements. It is recommended everyone get the vaccine at the earliest opportunity, so please call Health Services at (859) 572-5650 to make your appointment. There is no cost for the vaccine, but we ask that you bring your health insurance and a photo ID or your NKU AllCard.

As vaccinations are taking place on campus, remember to complete the check in on the Healthy@NKU app before leaving your house. Also keep in mind, anyone in the Greater Cincinnati area can take advantage of free Lyft rides for vaccination appointments. Six area healthcare systems are working with United Way to sponsor these rides in both Kentucky and Ohio. For more information, please click here.

We are making great progress in getting our campus vaccinated, but we still must adhere to our Norse Nine principles to keep the positive momentum. This includes wearing facial covering on our campus– both indoors and outside. The university is taking a precautionary stance as the Commonwealth has not reached 70% of its population being vaccinated. The COVID-19 Preparedness Team will monitor the trends and will adjust this requirement as needed.

Thank you for all you do to keep our campus community healthy.
