Subject: COVID-19 Update

Dear Campus Community,

I hope everyone enjoyed their much-deserved time off last week and had a safe, healthy and wonderful Thanksgiving. We are now in the home stretch of our fall semester with the final week of classes this week and finals next week. Our Virtual Commencement celebration will take place Saturday, December 12.

Let’s make the best of the remaining time this semester and continue to wear facial coverings,  maintain social distance, and follow our Norse Nine principals as we look forward to the holiday break.

Just a reminder: new restrictions announced by Gov. Beshear on November 18 remain in effect. Among those affecting NKU:

  • All dining has moved to carryout only, including the Student Union and Residential Dining facilities. The hours of service will remain the same. Visit NKU’s Dining Services website for more information.
  • NKU’s Campus Recreation Center already is operating under the 33% capacity that the Governor outlined and is requiring facial coverings, even while exercising.

Finally, the following retail schedule in the Student Union will remain in effect until Friday, December 11:

  • STARBUCKS: 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • STUDENT UNION CONVENIENCE STORE: 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday through Friday

Have a great week, stay safe and be well.

Sincerely,

Sue Ott Rowlands
