Subject: COVID-19 Campus Update: July 14th, 2022

Due to the recent increase in positive COVID cases and transmission in our community, we are recommending extra precautions for those on campus.

Please consider scheduling meetings via Zoom or Teams whenever possible. As always, in-person meetings should include a virtual option. We also recommend that individuals consider wearing masks when gathering indoors with others. Sponsoring organizations are encouraged to have masks readily available for guests, should they want them.

Masks are available at the Student Union Information Desk (Second Floor) during normal building hours using your NKU ALL CARD. Limited quantities of reusable and disposable masks are also available at the Welcome Center and University Center Information Desks, Steely Library Distribution Desk, Norse Commons and Campus Recreation during normal business hours.

If you have close contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19, or if you test positive, please view our online flow chart for guidance. We encourage anyone who has received a positive PCR test for COVID-19 to self-report online.

Both COVID 19 rapid and PCR testing are available on campus by calling Health, Counseling & Student Wellness at 859-572-5650 for an appointment. In addition, the federal government has made at-home COVID antigen testing kits available to every household in America. You can order free tests or find local testing sites at COVID 19 vaccines and boosters are also available on campus through Health, Counseling & Student Wellness. Appointments are required and can be made by calling the phone number listed above.

NKU will continue to monitor regional case, hospital and local quarantine dataand update campus about any changes. Thanks to each of you for all you do. Kind regards,

Matt Cecil
