Subject: COVID-19 Campus Update: April 7th, 2022

Good morning,

As COVID-19 case counts continue to drop, numbers are beginning to plateau. In our region, infections have decreased by 29 percent during the last seven days, and the transmission factor remains very low.

Based on conversations with our COVID-19 Preparedness team yesterday, I have a few updates and reminders:

Vaccine Clinics: NKU’s Office of Health, Counseling and Student Wellness will offer Moderna and Pfizer primary series and booster-dose vaccine clinics on the following dates:

  • Thursday, April 7 (Moderna)
  • Friday, April 8 (Pfizer)
  • Thursday, April 14 (Pfizer)
  • Thursday, April 21 (Pfizer)
  • Thursday, April 28 (Pfizer)
  • Thursday, May 5 (Moderna)

Clinics will be open from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. A second booster, which is considered a fourth dose of the vaccine, is recommended for those who are 50 and older and four months beyond their first booster. Appointments are required. Please call (859) 572-5650 to schedule.

Testing: Every household in America is eligible to order two sets of at-home COVID antigen tests. Order your second set of four tests for free at www.covid.gov/tests.

Covid Medications: COVID-19 medications are now available for those who test positive or are symptomatic at local pharmacies, health clinics and your doctor’s office. Navigate www.covid.gov to find the location that is convenient for you.

Thank you to everyone in our campus community for all that you do to support one another.

Kind Regards,

Matt Cecil
