We know that higher education is about more than a diploma! It’s about planning for a career. We want to help our students get started. You can save on tuition by completing the first two years of your bachelor’s degree at Cincinnati State and then transferring to Northern Kentucky University.

CINCINNATI STATE OFFERS DEGREE PATHWAYS TO NKU

A degree pathway is a curriculum plan that maps the progress from Cincinnati State to NKU, guaranteeing qualified graduates smoother, more cost effective access to NKU programs.

WHAT IS A 4-YEAR PLAN?

The 4-year plan is the preferred way to an NKU degree. These clear, direct plans will guide you through a program of study, from your start at Cincinnati State to your graduation from NKU.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

Students have long been able to start at Cincinnati State and then transfer to NKU to finish their bachelor’s degree. The CState2NKU program makes it even easier. The program provides a guaranteed, guided route to an NKU baccalaureate degree for program participants.

CSTATE 2 NKU PATHWAYS

Pathways are developed for the most popular majors at NKU. Some examples include:

Anthropology
Psychology
Social Work
Computer Information
Criminal Justice

We are always working to add more majors as the program evolves. For a full list of pathways, please click here.

SELECTIVE ADMISSIONS PROGRAMS

Certain NKU programs have selective admission criteria, above and beyond the admission criteria for the University. While they are guaranteed admission to the college, CState2NKU participants must meet these selective requisites for that program of study. Please visit admissions.nku.edu for a list of programs and requirements.
