Nicholas Baird Nicholas Baird, 2017 ASL Scholarship Recipient

Congratulations to Nicholas Baird on being selected as a 2017 scholarship recipient from Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

Nicholas is a 2017 inductee to the Nu Kappa Pi chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda and is one of twelve recipients nationally.

"I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, where I still live today. I’ve worked at Ohio National Financial Services since 2011 where I’m a supervisor in our Annuity Product Specialists department. I manage the day-to-day operation of 20 plus FINRA licensed and customer experience focused phone reps. I originally studied Fine Art (with a ceramic sculpture emphasis) at the University of Cincinnati during the early 2000s, but never finished my degree before joining the corporate world. In the years that followed I thought about going back to school many times but it wasn’t until I watched my wife, Megan, walk across the stage to accept her Master’s degree that I was finally inspired to actually take the plunge. With Megan’s encouragement and never ending support, I enrolled at Northern Kentucky University for the fall 2015 semester. I expect to graduate with a BS in Business Administration and a Business Analytics minor in spring 2019.

Besides school and work, the remainder of my days are spent running after our two young children, Max and Maddie, and our English bulldog, Brutus. On the weekends, my wife likes to keep me busy with a myriad of household projects both inside and out in our yard. I like to think of myself as a “handyman in training” as I continue to learn with each new project I tackle. In my free time (not that I get a lot), I enjoy watching and playing sports, trying new restaurants around town, growing a summer garden, cooking as my creative outlet and being a leader in our YP group at work. My goal in going back to school is to put myself in a better position to seize additional leadership roles as I advance in my career, and to be an example to my children that it’s never too late to finish what you started or to do something great."

Congratulations again, Nicholas, from all of us at PACE!
