Sylvia Chervus, Co-Artistic Director

Sylvia Chervus
Sylvia Chervus is a 5th year Senior pursuing a double major in Elementary Education and BFA Dance. Her NKU credits are as follows: ECS 2016-2019 as ensemble, Annual Dance Concert 2017-2020 as ensemble, Choreographic Mentor for the First Year Show "TADA" in 2019, Production Administrator for ECS 2019 and Technical Assistant for Dance '20. Sylvia is so excited to be Co-Artistic Director of ECS after so many years of being in the fall showcase. "This is such an amazing experience for students as dancers, choreographers, and production team members. I can't wait to see the final showcase!"

DJ Bruegge, Co-Artistic Director

DJ Bruegge
DJ Bruegge is a 4th year senior pursuing her BFA in Dance. Her credits at NKU include Dance '20 (Technical Assistant and Performer), Freaky Friday (Assistant to the Choreographer), Dance 19' (Production Assistant), Cabaret (Choreographer), and 'Dance 18 (Ensemble Member). Her professional credits include Mourning the Creation of Racial Categories (2018, Kentucky). DJ is very excited to finally be leading her first showcase alongside a group of strong and positive women. "I've loved all of my experiences at NKU but working alongside determined women always takes the cake."

Carli Robinette, Asst. Artistic Director

Carli Robinette
Carli Robinette, a junior at Northern Kentucky University, is currently getting her BFA in dance and minor in communications. Carli has been dancing for 17 years and is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern. She has performed in various works such as the Emerging Choreographers Showcase’18 and ‘19, American College Dance Association, and Dance ‘19 and ‘20.

Olivia Martel, Asst. Artistic Director

Olivia Martel
Olivia Martel is a junior, working towards a BFA in dance and a minor in Psychology. She has been on the executive staff of several productions at NKU such as ECS ‘19 and Dance ‘20, and has performed in Godspell, Dance ‘19, and Dance ‘20. Outside of NKU she has been in several shows including Catch Me If You Can, Seussical, Oklahoma, and Grease.

Grace Vetter, Head of Marketing

Grace Vetter
Grace Vetter, head of marketing, is a Junior Dance BFA from Greenville, South Carolina. She has been dancing for 17 years with an emphasis in ballet, jazz, modern and musical theatre. A brief list of her performance credits include NKU’s Freaky Friday, The Carnegie’s SWING!, NKU’s Marisol, Dance ‘19 and ‘20.

Molly Payne, Stage Manager

Molly Payne
Molly Payne is a senior Dance BFA candidate who is also double majoring in Organizational Leadership. Combining these two passions has lead her from dancing on stage to working behind the scenes as Assistant Stage Manager for Dance '20. She is overjoyed to join the ECS team as Stage Manager.

Payton Pearson, Production Assistant

Payton Pearson
Payton Pearson is a sophomore Stage Management BFA candidate her at NKU. She has worked on the 2019 First Year Show TADA, Dance '20 as well as Three Sisters. Other recent NKU credits include Edges, Elegies and Falling and Loving. This is Payton's first time working on the Emerging Choreographers Showcase and is excited to learn all she can about producing dance!

Jessica Shepherd, Production Assistant

Jessica Shepherd is a sophomore English Education double major and dance minor from Cincinnati, OH. Jess served as Dance Captain & Co-Choreographer for the 2019 First Year Show "TADA". She was also a performer in Dance '20. This will be her first ECS, and she is so excited to be a part of the team!
