Our Mission

The Dance Troupe’s mission is to be representatives and ambassadors of NKU SOTA and to prepare students according to President Vaidya’s strategic plan for the University, which is based on the “three pillars of student success”-Access-Completion-Community Connections and Engagement. To achieve this, class rehearsals focus on five areas of concentration: technique, professionalism, collaboration, performance, and artistry. Dancers are expected to develop versatility, coach-ability and a positive attitude that cultivates a collaborative environment. Through outreach/recruitment performances, in-reach events, and dance movement workshops they demonstrate their craft, learn to communicate verbally about their training and experience at NKU while interacting with people in our communities.
