Cat Johnson, M.F.A. is originally from Boston, Massachusetts and earned her BA in Design and Technical Theatre from Washington University in St. Louis. Johnson has worked as a scenic carpenter, scenic artist, and properties designer for The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati and Seattle Repertory Theatre. Some of her favorite scenic design credits include Footloose for the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, Hairspray for the Muskegon Civic Theatre, Harvey for the Howmet Playhouse, and Speech and Debate for Azuka Theatre in Philadelphia. Johnson has served as Technical Director for the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and the Upper Darby Summer Stage. She earned her MFA in Theatre Design at Temple University and taught theatre design & production courses at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. Cat Johnson is thrilled to continue the life-long learning process with the students of NKU’s SOTA.
