The Northern Kentucky University (NKU) School of the Arts (SOTA) Box Office sells tickets for a variety of events including Theatre & Dance productions, Music concerts, and other special events.
In the event that NKU closes due to inclement weather conditions, all scheduled performances on that day will be CANCELED. If a performance is canceled, ticket holders may receive a refund or exchange for another date of the same production, subject to availability.
Box Office staff will call patrons to make arrangements or patrons may also call the Box Office. The Box Office will make every effort to alert patrons in advance on its voice mail message, website, and local media if a performance is canceled.
In order to maintain inexpensive ticket pricing, as well as help offset expenses related to box office hardware, software and third party online sales services, individual online ticket purchases are charged an additional $3 fee per ticket.
If a patron wishes to have their tickets mailed, an additional $2 shipping and handling fee will be applied.
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager at the first appropriate break that allows for the least disruption for the performers, as well as the rest of the audience. Please keep in mind only a limited number of latecomers can be accommodated.
*Due to the seating arrangements and staging of Stauss Theatre, there is NO LATE SEATING.
Corbett Theatre and Commonwealth Theatre Company (in Stauss Theatre) performances are Reserved Seating.
Stauss Theatre and Greaves Concert Hall performances are General Seating. Due to seating arrangements and staging of Stauss Theatre, there is NO LATE SEATING.
All NKU SOTA performance venues have handicap accessible seating. Patrons requiring special seating consideration due to a medical condition should contact the Box Office to make advance arrangements with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Availability depends on the performance venue.
If a performance sells out, the Box Office does have a standby policy. Starting one hour prior to a sold-out performance, the Box Office Manager will begin a wait list. If any seats become available, they will be sold to those on the waitlist in the order in which they signed up. If you are called and not present your name will be removed from the list.
We will not take waitlist names over the phone; you must arrive in person to sign-up. We cannot guarantee that seats will become available, but we will do our best to accommodate you. Tickets will be sold at full price – each patron on the waitlist may purchase a maximum of four tickets, subject to availability.
