In 2021, NKU became Kentucky's first National Security Agency accredited National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education to host a GenCyber camp. The mission of the upcoming 2023 NKU GenCyber Teacher Camp is to provide local K-12 teachers an intensive, no-cost cybersecurity education based professional development experience. This provides a knowledge base and comprehensive set of resources that enables teachers to integrate cybersecurity into their curricula, start Capture the Flag activities, or start cybersecurity clubs at their respective schools.
Teachers will be awarded a $1,000 stipend upon successful completion of program requirements.
