The Department of Kinesiology and Health offers two tracks in the health education minor: one track is a p-12 teaching certification track the second track is a non-certification track that deals with content in health education.

Career Paths

The p-12 track provides content course work and pedagogy in health education that prepares students to take the teaching certification exam that leads to p-12 health education licensure. Students who are pursuing a degree in physical education p-12 certification, it is highly recommended that they also pursue the p-12 certification minor in health education. Students will then have the certification to teach both physical education and health education in elementary, middle, and secondary grade levels.
